While community exposures to COVID-19 continue to occur throughout BC, there have been no new outbreaks in the community or at healthcare facilities.

That was the message today from health authorities, who also urged British Columbians to stay safe this BC Day long weekend by keeping groups small and maintaining safe distances.

Health authorities also announced 23 new cases for a total of 3,523 in the province.

There was one new death related to the virus, in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, for a total of 194.

Active healthcare outbreaks continue at one longterm care facility and two acute care facilities. Public health teams continue to support active community outbreaks on Haida Gwaii and at Fraser Valley Packers Inc.
