The opening of McArthurGlen’s second phase on Labour Day weekend will include the arrival of some big brand names.

The expanded designer outlet near Vancouver International Airport will soon feature  such high-end fashion outlets as Jimmy Choo,  Stuart Weitzman, All Saints, Movado and the North Force. These globally recognized brands have chosen McArthurGlen Vancouver to debut their outlet offering in Western Canada. The new wave of openings will also include popular lifestyle brands like adidas, Jack & Jones and Starbucks, complementing existing shops like Hugo Boss, Armani, Kate Spade, Coach, Michael Kors, Ted Baker and Nike.

The new stores will be located in the development to the existing centre and will mirror the current European design, expanding on its notable open-air village style, with luxury piazzas, cobblestone walkways and a variety of facades.

The expansion also follows a whole host of recent upgrades, including a covered walkway to the main entrance, heated patio umbrellas and outdoor lounge areas allowing visitors to enjoy open-air shopping and dining all year round.

“One of our main goals is to make sure we’re providing something new for our dedicated shoppers and new guests throughout the year, both from the Greater Vancouver area and the hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit us each year,” said Robert Thurlow, general Manager of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver. “We are extremely proud to welcome these brands as the centre continues to provide a full program of unique events and promotions ensuring our guests enjoy an exceptional day out.”

The centre is currently operating and hosting shoppers until 9 p.m. daily as part of its extended summer hours.

McArthurGlen has seen continuous growth since opening, surpassing four million shoppers for the first time in 2018 and is now one of the top performing shopping centres in

Canada. The centre has consistently contributed to the local economy with over 1,600 jobs created since 2015.

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport is a joint venture between McArthurGlen, Europe’s leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets, and Vancouver Airport Authority, a community-based, not-for-profit organization that operates Vancouver International Airport.

McArthurGlen Vancouver is one of the 25 designer outlets managed by McArthurGlen Group and is home to the most sought-after premium and lifestyle brands, offering fashion-loving customers year-round savings in vibrant, high-quality shopping environments.

Since opening in 2015, McArthurGlen has welcomed over 15 million shoppers. The new phase will deliver 84,000 square feet of additional retail and is part of McArthurGlen Group’s plan to develop over 1.6 million square feet of retail space over the next three years across its 24-centre portfolio.
