The province is providing nearly $160 million in infrastructure grants for local governments, community groups and First Nations.

The funding is part of two federal infrastructure streams. Possible projects include:

• Upgrades or construction of recreation and cultural centres

• Infrastructure in small communities of under 25,000 people, such as broadband connectivity, efficient and reliable energy, or Indigenous health and educational facilities

“Investment in infrastructure is an investment in people,” said provincial Municipal Affairs Minister Selina Robinson. “Projects like these will strengthen communities by bringing people together, celebrating our province’s diversity and improving services to support economic growth.”

Local governments and Indigenous communities, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, can apply for these programs here.
