Richmondites expressed overwhelming support for local businesses, according to the results of a recent Tourism Richmond survey.
Ninety-four per cent of Richmond respondents to the poll, held at the end of May, said they would be comfortable visiting local businesses or attractions once they re-opened.
Most respondents expect businesses to have safety measures in place including limited patron capacity, use of personal protective equipment, and plexiglass barriers or similar equipment.
Residents said they would feel comfortable welcoming visitors from nearby communities and other parts of BC, but not from other parts of Canada. And 79 per cent of Richmond respondents said they were most concerned about being in large crowds.
Tourism Richmond will continue to put together resident sentiment surveys as BC progresses in its restart plan. For more information, click here.
