Richmond Hospital has received a $55,000 donation from a Richmond construction company for essential medical equipment, a CPR machine and a vital signs monitor.

Everglade Development raised the funds as part of its contribution to the hospital foundation’s #RichmondTogether campaign in April.

“Many of us live and work in Richmond and have benefitted from Richmond Hospital’s great quality of care. In return, this was a great way for the Richmond community to pay it forward and show our immense gratitude to our local medical professionals,” said Everglade managing director Allen Zu.

The #RichmondTogether fundraising campaign from April 8 to 22 brought together donors, volunteers and leaders across the city to raise much-needed funds for the COVID-19 Response Fund.

“We are extremely grateful to everyone in the community for your generous donation towards our fund,” said foundation CEO Natalie Meixner. “These funds will go a long way in helping us provide emergency lifesaving care for local residents.”
