Bike parkade now open at Bridgeport Canada Line Station

—
With cycling season winding into full gear, some riders will have another reason to rejoice—the opening of a bike parkade at Bridgeport Canada Line station.
The Richmond station is one of three to feature new parkades (the others are at Burquitlam and Lafarge Lake-Douglas stations), allowing more travel options for essential workers and people taking essential trips, TransLink says.
The parkades also provide an indoor facility for registered customers to store their bikes. And they are fully lit, glass-walled facilities with video surveillance, a repair stand, and an air pump for bike tires. Each parkade can store up to 45 bikes at a time.
TransLink says bike parkades are more secure than locking bikes outside, but advises customers should still lock their bikes in the parkade and ensure the door closes behind them. Customers may use their Compass Card to tap into the parkades for a fee of $1 per day, capped at $8 per month.
