Lansdowne Centre is once again partnering with the Richmond RCMP to host the 11th Annual Richmond RCMP Toy Drive. This event also marks the 93rd year of the Richmond Christmas Fund, organized by Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG), which aims to encourage the public to support the families in need by donating toys during the holiday season.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lansdowne Centre parking lot, next to the Canada Line Station. Community members are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for the Richmond Christmas Fund, or make a minimum $10 donation. As a token of appreciation, everyone who contributes will receive a complimentary bag of mini-donuts.

The event will also feature family-friendly holiday activities, community booths, photos with Santa, and a full-size street hockey rink, where members of the Richmond RCMP and the Richmond Sockeyes will face off against local VIPs.

"This marks our longstanding partnership with the Richmond Christmas Fund for the past 15 years, and we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the community and supporting families in need during this festive season," says Bronwyn Bailey, Marketing Manager. " Alongside the Richmond RCMP, we hope to inspire widespread participation in this meaningful holiday initiative.”

In 2024, the Toy Drive achieved record success, raising over $33,000 and collecting 2.5 tonnes of toys, bringing holiday warmth to more than 1,300 community members, including 550 children and youth.

"Now into its second decade, the Richmond RCMP Toy Drive reflects the joy and magic of the holiday season," says Jocelyn Wong, executive director of RCRG. "It's a showcase for our community's giving spirit, and we're truly grateful to everyone involved, from the Richmond RCMP to Lansdowne Centre to the many sponsors, volunteers, and donors."
