New portable toilets for truckers

The provincial government is funding installation of portable toilets along commercial truck drivers’ routes.
Commercial truck drivers help the supply chain by delivering essential goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to safe and clean facilities is important to their daily work.
Installation of the additional portable toilets began last weekend and will continue over the coming weeks. Approximately 20 portable toilets have been installed at commercial pull-outs and inspection stations.
All provincial rest areas will also be kept open during the outbreak to support the trucking industry. Thanks to the work of maintenance contractors, these facilities will be kept clean and sanitary.
If people find these facilities in less than ideal condition, they should contact the maintenance contractor or nearest ministry office.
