Do you know someone or an organization that has made a significant impact in preserving or sharing the community’s heritage? The Richmond Heritage Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Richmond Heritage Awards, with a deadline of Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Richmond’s historic buildings, cultural landscapes, and local stories all contribute to the community’s identity, and many people play a personal role in preserving and sharing the stories of Richmond’s heritage places and rich history.

The Richmond Heritage Awards provide a way to recognize people and organizations for their dedication.

Some of the ways an individual or organization may earn recognition is for their role in:

  • conserving a historic building or cultural landscape
  • promoting heritage awareness through education, outreach or advocacy
  • contributing to local heritage knowledge through public history or interpretation projects

Anyone can submit a nomination. Simply complete a one-page nomination form outlining the nominee’s contribution.

The nomination form is available online at richmond.ca/HeritageAwards. Printed copies are available by emailing Policy Planning Department at communityplanning@richmond.ca. Submissions can be sent to the same email address or mailed to Richmond Heritage Commission c/o Policy Planning Department, Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road, Richmond, BC, V6Y 2C1.
