The fifth year of World Leisure Day is being celebrated in Richmond on Wednesday, April 16 with free and low-cost activities for all ages. This year’s theme, Leisure for a Better Society, invites all to step into a world where imagination fuels innovation and leisure becomes the catalyst for a better society. On this date, communities across the globe will explore the limitless possibilities leisure provides.

Visit the Richmond Nature Park to explore bat ecology, their habitat requirements and indigenous perspectives, alongside other interesting facts; learn how to write Chinese couplets, delve into their history and share your work at Brighouse Library; discover the beauty of South Arm Park up close through a guided Walk Richmond tour; and partake in the Recreation and Leisure Tour at the Richmond Olympic Oval. All activities are offered by the City of Richmond and its partners.
