Health workers will soon have easier access to medical supplies in BC.

Through a partnership with the Digital Technology Supercluster and Business Council of British Columbia, the province has created the COVID-19 Supply Hub.

This online platform will co-ordinate, source, and expedite medical supplies and personal protective equipment for provincial health authorities to support frontline health workers fighting COVID-19.

The new system provides a single point of entry to triage. It will help essential goods and services get to their destination quickly and efficiently.

The COVID-19 Supply Hub was designed by local BC technology company Traction on Demand and built on the Salesforce platform.

It will enable those in need of critical supplies to connect with suppliers. Initially, it will focus on sourcing supplies for healthcare and frontline workers, although government is also accepting offers for other essentials, like cleaning supplies.

The hub is part of a provincial effort to manage COVID-19 response and recovery cross-governmentally. BC aims to co-ordinate initiatives and increase community collaboration.

Companies looking to offer support or supplies through the COVID-19 Supplier Hub can access it here: www.gov.bc.ca/supplyhub
