Free 2025 income tax preparation assistance in Richmond

Friendly reminder — the deadline for filing 2024 Canada Revenue Agency personal income tax returns is April 30. Here are a number of Richmond organizations offering both drop-off /pick-up and in-person income tax preparation assistance targeted towards primarily low income individuals ($35,000 annual income or lower, $35,000 to 37,500 with one child) and families ($45,000 dual annual income or lower).

Please bring valid government-issued photo identification and all relevant documents such as T4, T5 and Canada Child Benefit slips. And whether or not you've earned any income for the year it's important to file your taxes  to ensure you're receiving all of the Canadian tax system benefits and credits.

  • Chabad Richmond Jewish Centre (200-4775 Blundell Rd.): Drop off income tax forms Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., March 15 until April 20 (closed during lunch hour and holidays). Advance registration required, and service is also available virtually and in-person. Call 604-277-6427, or email programs@chabadrichmond.com to book an appointment.
  • Chimo Community Services (120-7000 Minoru Blvd.): Drop off income tax forms every Friday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., March 10 until April 26. Advance registration required, and service is available in English and Chinese. Call 604-279-7077, or email chimo@chimoservices.com to book an appointment.
  • Connections Community Services Society (110-7580 River Rd.): Drop off income tax forms every Wednesday and Saturday between 2 and 5 p.m., March 3 until April 30. All clients are welcome. Advance registration required, and service is also available virtually and in-person. Call Megan at 604-244-4523 or email incometax@ccssociety.ca to book an appointment.
  • Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (190-7000 Minoru Blvd. inside Richmond Caring Place): Year-round. Must be 55+ or disabled to qualify, and service is available in English, Hindi, Gurati, French, Cantonese and Mandarin. Call 604-279-7020, email info@rcrg.org or visit the office to book an appointment.
  • Richmond Centre for Disability (968-5300 No. 3 Rd.): Drop off income tax forms Monday to Friday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., March 17 to April 25.   • Richmond Multicultural Community Services (210-7000 Minoru Blvd. inside Richmond Caring Place): Drop off income tax forms Monday to Saturday, March 3 until May 2.  Advanced registration (available now) is required. Call 604-279-7160 or email thuy.nguyen@rmcs.bc.ca to book an appointment.
  • Richmond Public Library (Brighouse branch second floor – 7700 Minoru Gate) in partnership with Lord's Harvest Fellowship: Drop off income tax forms every Saturday during March and April (excluding March 30). Advanced registration and library card are required. Call 604-231-6413 or visit the second floor "Ask Me" desk to book an appointment.
  • Richmond Women's Resource Centre (110-7000 Minoru Blvd. inside Richmond Caring Place): Drop off income tax forms Monday to Thursday, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., March 3 to April 15. Advance registration required, and service is available in English and Chinese. Call 604-279-7060 or email office@richmondwomenscentre.org to book an appointment.
  • S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (2200-7000 Minoru Blvd. inside Richmond Caring Place): Drop off income tax forms from March 10 to April 21.
