Suspect charged in alleged residential break and enter

Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit investigation results in charge against suspect in alleged residential break and enter.
On January 11, 2025 Richmond RCMP received a report of an alleged residential break and enter in the 6400 block of Livingstone Place. Due to an increase in reported break and enters in the area, Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit (PCU) were engaged.
A suspect was arrested and Amine Benbihi has since been charged with one-count of break and enter contrary to Section 348 of the Criminal Code of Canada. After a bail hearing in provincial court, Benbihi was detained and remains in-custody.
“We are dedicated to investigating these crimes and holding offenders accountable for their actions”, says Corporal Ryan Lee, Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit, “Our team, along with our Criminal Analysis Unit, reviews and analyzes all reported property related offences to assist in identifying potential suspects and to bring charges against those responsible.”
Richmond RCMP PCU continue to investigate additional break and enters reported in the neighbourhood South-West of Gilbert Road and Granville Avenue. Anyone with information regarding these offences is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212.
