Richmond Centre Member of Parliament, Wilson Miao presents the King Charles III Coronation Medal to 30 outstanding community members

Member of Parliament for Richmond Centre, Wilson Miao, proudly honoured 30 exceptional individuals from the Richmond community with the King Charles III Coronation Medal on behalf of the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, during a ceremony held at Richmond City Hall on Jan. 18, 2025.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal is awarded to individuals who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to service, leadership, and community-building. The recipients were honoured for their lasting contributions to the communities in Richmond and across Canada.

During the ceremony, Miao expressed deep admiration for the recipients, stating, "What you have done matters, and your contributions have made a difference to our community." He celebrated their individual achievements and their collective impact on making Richmond and Canada a better place for everyone.

Miao also highlighted the importance of acknowledging the work of those who may not always be recognized, noting, "This ceremony is not just about presenting medals, it is about taking a moment to honour the recipients who dedicate themselves to service, to leadership, and to building a better community for everyone."
