The Terry Fox Run held on Sept. 15 at Garry Point Park was a tremendous success, raising an impressive $28,692.00 for cancer research. The annual event drew community members together in a spirit of hope and determination, honoring the legacy of Terry Fox and his mission to find a cure for cancer.

Participants of all ages enjoyed a beautiful day of running, walking, and biking along the scenic route, united by a shared goal of making a difference in the fight against cancer.

"We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and generosity shown by everyone who participated," said Howard Jampolsky, event coordinator. "Every dollar raised will contribute to groundbreaking research, bringing us one step closer to finding a cure."

The funds raised will go directly to the Terry Fox Foundation, which has funded numerous innovative cancer research projects across Canada. Since its inception, the Terry Fox Run has become a national symbol of hope, inspiring millions to join the fight against cancer.

Special thanks to local sponsors, volunteers, and participants whose contributions made this event possible. Their support not only helped raise funds but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration.

The Terry Fox Run continues to be a reminder of the impact we can make when we come together for a common cause. Mark your calendars for next year's event, and let's continue to honor Terry's legacy.
