More than 300 people attended the Richmond Christmas Fund’s new fundraising event inside the Audi Richmond showroom at the Richmond Auto Mall on Nov. 28.

“We wanted to create something completely unique,” said Wayne Duzita, who along with Rob Howard and Michael Chiu were co-chairs of the organizing committee for the event. “The Audi Richmond showroom is a spectacular space, and provided the perfect setting for a new kind of fundraising event.”

The dozen-strong committee organized the stand-up reception where guests mingled as they snacked on fine food and drinks among Audi’s impressive luxury vehicle line-up. A live band was brought in to play Christmas music.

“It turned out to be the single largest fundraiser in Richmond Christmas Fund history. For that, we owe a Santa-size thank you to the organizing committee, our sponsors, and everyone who attended.”

A fundraising auction included a road trip to Whistler in an Audi R8 and two electric miniature replica cars for children to ride on.
