Partnership agreement with China tech university to open educational opportunities

A major tech university in China signed a partnership agreement late last month with Richmond-based Canada Global Culture and Education Association.
Dongguan University of Technology will collaborate with the Richmond association to develop international education programs, according to the agreement.
Canada Global Culture and Education Association will have its offices located at New Continental Education Group’s new facility, which will begin construction in the summer of 2019 at the southwest corner of No. 3 Road and Bridgeport Road.
Former trustee Grace Tsang said the plan is to offer future BC post-secondary institution programs to Dongguan University students.
Cheng Hongbo, secretary of the party committee of Dongguan University, spoke at the signing ceremony at Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport on Nov. 30.
"This centre is a milestone for the international development of our university," he said. "We hope that with the establishment of the centre, we can foster global opportunities together with our local partners."
Dongguan University of Technology, located in Dongguan—a world-renowned manufacturing city—is a young and burgeoning public university which is proud to have Dr. Chenning Yang, a Nobel Laureate in physics, as its honorary president.
