Richmond’s annual Terry Fox Run is just weeks away. The event will take place at Garry Point Park, Steveston, on Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. Runners can begin registering for the event online at terryfox.org or register in person on the day of the event at 9 a.m.
When Terry dipped his prosthetic leg in the Atlantic Ocean on that chilly April morning in 1980, and started his Marathon of Hope, he could not have imagined the impact he would have on our country – nor how his determination would continue to inspire Canadians.
43 years later, Terry’s mission continues with hundreds of Terry Fox Runs, thousands of school runs, and millions of supporters across Canada and in more than 20 countries around the world.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, all are invited to Richmond’s Terry Fox Run at Garry Point Park in Steveston to walk, run, wheel, or ride for cancer research.
