Richmond Stories, a collection of 10 compelling videos by the City of Richmond, are now available for viewing in person and online. Launched in January, each video explores some of Richmond’s most fascinating stories using rarely seen archival film and photographs and captivating new footage.
Videos include a charming love story on the Interurban Tram, how sports rivalries built our communities, and how skilled Japanese craftsmen in Steveston once created the boats that were the backbone of the local fishing industry. Each of the three to six minute videos was carefully crafted by Lantern Films with input from community members with first-hand knowledge of each subject.
