This year, more than 3,700 Richmond kids participated in the Summer Reading Club.

But with school back in session, the annual reading event has come to an end. Summer Reading Club participants can now stop by any Richmond Public Library branch to pick up their medal.

Kids and families can also celebrate at the finale event on Sunday (Sept. 11) from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Brighouse branch.

Join the mayor and other local dignitaries at this fun-filled for family-friendly event, which will feature an interactive dance party, a scavenger hunt, and the sponsor-presented RBC Training Ground. Children can also receive their medals at the event if they have not already picked them up.

“BC Summer Reading Club is such a big part of the summer for so many Richmond kids, teens, and their families, and we are thrilled to invite the community to come together at the annual finale,” says Kate Adams, the library’s head of children and family services.
