Man missing after arriving at airport

Richmond RCMP is looking for 37-year-old Coquitlam man Yashar Soltani, who arrived yesterday at Vancouver International Airport.
Soltani has significant mental and physical challenges requiring him to remain with a responsible adult at all times. Family members are concerned for his well-being.
Shortly after arriving at the airport yesterday (Aug. 17), Soltani bolted from family members and hired a taxi to take him to Vancouver. He was last seen exiting the taxi near Granville Street and West 10th Avenue in Vancouver around 10 a.m. yesterday.
Soltani is described as a Middle Eastern male who is about 168 centimetres (five-foot-six) tall and weighs about 85 kilograms (187 pounds). He has short black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a Hawaii logo on it, dark shorts, and white running shoes.
Anyone with information on Soltani’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
