More changes coming to Canada Line service next week

Service between Bridgeport and Richmond-Brighouse stations on the Canada Line will end about three hours early for three nights next week.

Between Monday and Wednesday (Aug. 15 and 17), construction crews will be working on the new Capstan station. Crews will be using cranes to continue installing large pieces of steel to connect the top of the station’s H-frames, and the cranes cannot be used safely above the track while trains are in operation.

These temporary closures will affect customers travelling to and from Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse stations. Canada Line service will end at 10:30 p.m. on those nights.

Extra bus service will be available between Bridgeport and Richmond–Brighouse stations to provide customers with alternative service. Buses will stop at each impacted station (Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse) and come approximately every 10 minutes.

Capstan station remains on track to open in 2023.
