Chamber hosting badminton tournament

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce’s Greater China Exchange Committee is hosting a badminton tournament on Aug. 10.

People will play in doubles against other Richmond teams, and no previous badminton training is required. A coach will provide instructions on the rules as well as some tips to make the most of your game. Winners will take home a shiny trophy.

After the games, a dinner reception will be held at Quilchena Golf and Country Club. People will enjoy casual networking, a delicious dinner, and prize announcements.

Badminton players are asked to wear indoor badminton shoes or runners without back/dark coloured soles.

The event will be presented in English, with live Mandarin translation by the master of ceremonies. 

Ticket prices:

• Group of 4: $425 plus tax (includes court time and dinner reception) 

• Dinner only (non-Member): $110 plus tax 

• Dinner only (chamber members): $90 plus tax

• Table of 10 (non-member): $1,000 plus tax

• Table of 10 (member): $800 plus tax

The event takes place from 1 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Drive Badminton Centre (#138–4551 No. 3 Rd.). Space is limited, so people are asked to register by Aug. 3.
