British Columbians invited to share feedback on 2023 budget

The select standing committee on finance and government services, a parliamentary committee of the Legislative Assembly, has announced details for the 2023 provincial budget consultation.

Starting May 30, British Columbians can share their ideas and priorities for the provincial budget by speaking at a public hearing, sending written comments, or filling out an online survey.

Organizations or individuals who would like to make a presentation are asked to indicate their interest by May 6. Presentations will take place in June and will be a mix of in-person and virtual (video/teleconference) meetings.

The deadline to provide written comments and respond to the survey is June 24 at 3 p.m. (Pacific time). The committee intends to release its report in August.
