The newest Branscombe House artist-in-residence, Krystal Kiran, will introduce herself to the community at a virtual event tonight.
Kiran is a Punjabi-Canadian performing artist and educator whose practice explores “third culture” identity and the arts as healing practices. She has performed on Broadway and toured internationally as a featured vocalist with Grammy- and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. As an actor, dancer and choreographer, Kiran has performed on a variety of stages including the Shaw Festival and Arts Club.
She will offer free community arts programs, activities and workshops at Branscombe House and other locations in Richmond throughout the year.
Tonight’s artist talk, which takes place at 7 p.m., will be followed by a question and answer session. Participants will require a computer, smartphone or tablet and access to internet. For more information or to register, click here.
