Police seeking information in robbery attempt

Richmond RCMP is seeking information after an attempted robbery at Steveston’s Super Grocer and Pharmacy on Jan. 9.

Police arrived just before 1:30 p.m. after a suspect attempted to rob the business but departed once unsuccessful. Police were unable to locate the suspect and are asking members of the public for their assistance.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man with a thin/medium build. He was wearing a dark neck gaiter face mask, dark blue hoodie, hunting camouflage patterned bomber jacket, black sweatpants and black shoes.

Anyone traveling or parked in around the area of 12051 No. 1 Road on January 9, 2022 between the hours of noon and 2 p.m. is asked to review and provide any dashcam footage they may have.
