Police seeking public assistance in suspicious shooting

Richmond RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in a possible shooting that took place on Monday.

Officers responded to Richmond General Hospital just before 8:30 a.m. for a report of a man suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting. According to an RCMP release, the man was able to receive emergency medical assistance. At this moment, this appears to be an isolated incident.

Anyone traveling in around the area of Westminster Highway and Gilbert Road on Monday (Jan. 3) between 8 and 8:15 a.m. is asked to review and provide any dashcam footage you may have.
