Richmond retirement home declares outbreak

Vancouver Coastal Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Fraserview Retirement Community on Williams Road. Ten residents have tested positive so far.
Outbreak precautions have been implemented, and all group activities on the affected floors have been suspended.
B.C. health officials also reported 9,332 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, although a release notes that the case counts provided today are preliminary. Since the pandemic began, B.C. has recorded 264,181 cases.
Of the new cases, 1,797 are in the Vancouver Coastal Health region (including Richmond), 4,859 in the Fraser Health region, 1,117 in the Island Health region, 1,185 in the Interior Health region, 374 in the Northern Health region and no new cases of people who reside outside of Canada.
