It’s not known as the “Wet Coast” for nothing.

Copious amounts of rain continue to fall on Richmond this morning, with Environment Canada forecasting totals of between 140 to 180 millimetres (5.5 to six inches) before the before the atmospheric river system is expected to let up this afternoon. Strong easterly winds of 70 kilometres per hour— gusting to as high as 90 kilometres per hour—are expected to follow the downpour which has already resulted in flooding and pooling water.
