Man injured after alleged targeted shooting

A 19-year-old man was found in Richmond last night with apparent gunshot wounds.

Richmond RCMP responded to a report in the 8000 block of Jones Road. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he has since been released, and he is expected to recover from his injuries.

“Through the course of the investigation, we have learned that the shooting was targeted, and suspects have been identified,” said Cst. Kenneth Lau. “Therefore, there is no ongoing risk to the public.”
