Teresa Wat, who has served as the MLA for Richmond North Centre since 2013, was sworn in during a virtual ceremony last week.

It will be her third term after winning re-election in the 2020 provincial election.

“I am incredibly honoured that the people of Richmond North Centre have once again put their trust in me to be their voice in Victoria,” said Wat. “I am excited to hold the NDP government accountable to their promises to expand Richmond hospital, replace the Massey Tunnel, provide support to businesses and those in need struggling under the pandemic, and make life more affordable in Richmond by addressing skyrocketing strata insurance premiums and auto insurance rates.”

Wat is one of 28 BC Liberal MLAs that will make up British Columbia’s Official Opposition.
