Richmond musicians performing in free family concert

Two Richmond performers are among a group of musicians who will perform in a free family concert this weekend as part of Music on Main’s 2022 Modulus Festival.
The B.C. Chinese Music Ensemble includes Richmondites Geling Jiang and Yun Song. Jiang plays the liuqin, ruan, and sanxian; Song plays the erhu. The concert is taking place at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre in Vancouver at 3 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 6).
The B.C. Chinese Music Ensemble previously performed in a pop-up concert as part of Music on Main’s summer programming. The upcoming show will feature a selection of traditional folk songs and pieces written by the musicians themselves.
Now in its 17th season, Music on Main has presented more than 500 concerts and events, featuring over 1,000 musicians and 100 world premieres.
