Anne of Green Gables will be Gateway Theatre’s winter musical this year.
Back following several years of alternate end-of-year offerings, this year’s show will be a return to the usual Gateway tradition of presenting a musical spectacle in December.
Anne of Green Gables: The Musical™ is based on Canadian author L.M. Montgomery’s classic novels. The play follows the rise of Anne Shirley, a feisty, red-haired orphan who arrives unexpectedly in Avonlea and soon captures the hearts and minds of her newfound family and neighbours.
The show, directed by Gateway’s director of artistic programs Barbara Tomasic, will be on at Gateway Theatre (6500 Gilbert Road) from Dec. 15 to 31. Tickets start at $35. For more information, visit gatewaytheatre.com.
