The first day of the Lunar New Year, Fri. Feb
16 saw everyone at Thompson Elementary School enjoying a special assembly with
a slide show by parent Albert Wei, two senior students playing the ceramic
flute, student Linda Wang playing the dulcet guzheng similar to a zither, and
the most popular guest of all, a traditional Chinese dragon that kept the
children’s rapt attention.
