Celebrate National Seniors Day in Richmond on Friday with free and low cost online and in-person programs. Choose from playing the ukulele with others, enjoying a Seniors Day Social or purchasing a special treat. All activities can be found at www.richmond.ca/seniors.

“The City of Richmond acknowledges the important roles that adults 55 years and older play in our families, communities and workplaces,” says Mayor Malcolm Brodie.

As part of National Seniors Day, Richmond coordinates the Positive Aging Campaign, showcasing positive images of seniors in Richmond aiming to reduce ageism and existing stereotypes. This year’s theme of How Aging Positively Spreads highlights the impact and rippling effect one person can have creating positivity across a community.
